1. If your friends understand. Maybe force them to go to the concert with you.
  2. They're not interested unfortunately. What I'm thinking about doing is going down with them and spending the first four days of the trip as I normally would have. I'm thinking bout flying home on Friday morning so I'll be home in time for the concert Friday night. To me it seems to be the beat of both world's. All assuming I can get good tickets to the concert which go on sale this Saturday of course...
  3. ^yep, that's the Golden rule: Tickets first, plans later.

I hope you can make it to both things
  4. Rumor has it he's playing the legendary Wrigley Field....

Further rumors suggest that there's a fleeting chance he might be double billed with Pearl Jam, though I'm not buying that at all.

That would be one of the best gigs of all time.

I'm quietly hoping it doesn't happen. It would be incredibly difficult to get to/pay for and I'd rather see PJ in their own show/arena.

Ya I was really surprised to see Chicago not on the tour dates. The Boss at Wrigley would be sick if he really does play stadiums in the fall as rumor would suggest. I was also surprised not to see Toronto on the list of cities either.
  8. The only possible explanations for him not booking the UC for that arena thing is that they're giving him two nights at Wrigley in September and he wants that to be his Chicago blowout, or he's playing Lollapalooza.

Lolla doesn't seem likely since the Wrigley show is sounding pretty sure.

Ya. The dates there really miss out on almost the entire Midwest and most of the rest of the country west of Detroit. As someone living on the East Coast I'm grateful but I'd guess that part of the country will be strongly present on the fall leg.
  10. Yeah I definitely think that his Fall tour will be minimal but he'll hit some really huge venues. The Wrigley show has the potential to draw from Michigan, Wisconsin, St. Louis, and Indy areas.
  11. Wound up getting tickets to both Buffalo and Cleveland. My seats for the show here are really good. Im about as excited as I can get for a concert....save U2 of course!!
  12. it seems that there will be a saxophonist on tour according to Lofgren
