1. I changed this topic's name to make it the official Bruce thread. Any other thread will be closed and redirected to this one for now on

  2. I remember the first time I heard the Born In The USA album.

I had just got a vinyl player for my 15th birthday, and my dad gave me all his old records. I remember one night I was looking through them and saw the cover of BITUSA and listened. nothing has given me that feeling since.

everything about it, the anthemicness of it, the emotion, the brilliance of the lyrics. still his best album, in my opinion, although The River and Darkness come close.
  3. Working on a dream is OK. I think The Wrestler is one of his finest tunes.
As for his best album, gotta be Born To Run or Nebraska.
  4. The best studio album for me is Nebraska, but is best album for me is definetely LIve 75-85
For me it's even the best album ever made.
  5. I love the Live 75-86 album too, it's sooooooo great. That intro for The River give me shivers every time. Brilliant
  6. The Live box is outstanding. To those who posted above me about loving it as well, do yourself a favor and seek out the bootlegs of the full shows they used for the album. Namely Roxy 7-7-78 and Nassau 12-28- 31 1980. They really chopped up some of the songs, Backstreets in particular. I'm sure BTX will have them.

  7. Would be really cool if U2 could do something official like that.....they got enough on their plate at the moment, but would be cool down the road
  8. FInally got around to buying the wrecking ball single-great stuff.
  9. Listening to ''The Darkness on the Edge of Town'' album now.

  10. obviously doesn't have the hit singles like the two "Borns" do, but right up there with them in Boss albums in my opinion. Racing in the Street
