1. Agree, missing also Ade's contributions.

This thread is not the same anymore!

  2. They released it already as a CD-R promo single... I don't think they would use that same version for a new album. A re-recorded one would make more sense, I think.
  3. According to a Dutch website, tomorrow the name and date for the new album will be official, just as a new tour will be announced.

Oh and I'm gonna do some promotion for myself here .

Bruce fans, help getting him high in our U2start toplist www.u2start.com/topic/9764/0/25/

Well Chris on BTX had it right. I'm keen on it, regardless of half of it being made up of covers or other older, known songs.
  6. Songs we already know from High Hopes:

    High Hopes
    Harry's Place
    American Skin
    Just Like Fire Would
    Tom Joad
    The Wall
    Dream Baby Dream

Doesn't leave much new still, only new arrangements I guess. Although Harry's Place has never been heard.
  7. "Meeeeeeeeeeeet me at Harry's Place, we're gonna have a party."

Yeah, I'm not too crazy about it either. But maybe the new songs (Atleast I think they're new) will be memorable enough to ignore it. Will I still buy it? Of course. I always buy everything Bruce puts out on opening day... ha
  8. Yeah I wish he would have released an album full of Springsteen only songs, but it is what it is. I will still buy it and enjoy it. I am a fan of High Hopes, having seen it twice already and seen what Morello can do. Just Like Fire Would is also a good song and is great live, saw that one on debut also. I also think Tom Joad with Morello is sensational live. Love American Skin and hopefully I finally get to see that one live next year too. I don't mind what I've seen of The Wall from East Rutherford I think it was and Dream Baby Dream is fine as a closer. Hopefully the rest of the new (?) tracks are quality Springsteen productions. At least the shows now have a new core and will be significantly different to 2013.

I can honestly see myself loving this one, if done right.

(And yes, I don't particularly like a lot of Springsteen covers as they waste time where other better songs could be played live, but I have moved past that for this release and upcoming tour. No other way around it.)
  9. We're they just put in there as filler? Fearing that it would look too short? Look at BTR (8 songs) and WIESS (7 songs). *shrugs*

"Dream Baby Dream" is a beautiful closer. I was lucky enough to witness it back in 2005. And it was my first show. Brilliant gig. Wouldn't mind seeing him solo again...
  10. Not sure. This one seems as if it is very strong thematically to me though. So maybe that's what's with the inclusion of all of random (disjointed?) outtakes, originals (?) and covers.

    Solo would be great
  11. I gotta say the cover art is fairly trash in my opinion
  12. This may or may not be Heaven's Wall. Still no idea yet though.

    Scrap that.

''High Hopes' finds Bruce Springsteen in a number of different musical settings, and includes the E Street Band members in various large and small combinations as well as guitarist Tom Morello on eight tracks. Besides Morello, the album also includes appearances on several songs by Clarence Clemons, who passed away in 2011, and Danny Federici, who passed away in 2008, on what Springsteen calls "some of our best unreleased material from the past decade." The album was recorded in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York City and marks Springsteen's 18th studio album. As Bruce writes in the albums liner notes, "I felt they were among the best of my writing and deserved a proper studio recording."

The AMAZON BONUS LIMITED EDITION* version also includes a live DVD of Bruce and the E Street Band performing the entire "Born In The U.S.A." album in London, England, during the historic Wrecking Ball World Tour.

*This version will be available for a LIMITED TIME ONLY.'

If Down in the Hole or Heaven's Wall were to be covers, one would assume that the original songwriters would be credited the same as they are in High Hopes, Dream Baby Dream and Just Like Fire Would.
