Just listened to the official The River downloads of MSG and parts of New Ark. AWSOME! The mixer did a great job. Since 19.00 I have a big smile on my face.
It hurts me that it is not possible for me to see Springsteen in Den Haag.

I am really looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Bruce again, hoping to be able to get some tickets for Vienna or Berlin if he plays there, but the way this tour is / isn't announced gives me a headache. It is really turning into a treasure hunt where one has to spend much time and energy trying to get at least some information, which is in fact best for the scalpers, who make their living that way and are able to spend all the time they need on looking for information and participate in pre-sales any time a day without any notice, unlike us, who have to go to regular work. If the pre-sale starts at say Tuesday 10 am and I get to know it a couple of hours before, then it is most likely a no go for me, but all scalpers will surely get what they want. That doesn't sound like Bruce at all.
Like when I realised that there was not one, but two Dublin dates (luckily I wasn't going for those tickets). They were both sold out by the time I found out. And there was no mention of the second date at Bruce's site by that time. Instead we got an information that an autobiography would be published in September. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to reading it, but it is really not the news I need now. And I bet that all fans in Europe feel just the same right now.
I can understand that not all dates are settled and that something leaks now and then, but this? The whole American tour (except of some added dates) was announced at the beginning of December and it was also announced that tickets for all dates would go on sale in exactly one week. How come there is no announcement about Europe whatsoever and one has to have almost detective skills to be fast enough to get tickets? This is really just great for scalpers - with one or two dates a week they have all the time they need to get tickets for all the dates, which would be impossible, if they went on sale simultaneously. It is really the lamest date release I remember. I know I will forget it all once I (hopefully) get the tickets I want, but it has been a nightmare so far.
Again, I understand that there are probably some negotiations still going on, but this it really the worst possible setup for true fans and I think it is not too selfish to think that they should also be considered by the tour management.
