  1. I've heard it's really scaring, but also an excellent game. I'm not sure if I would like to try it... I have some serious fears with all the biological hazards and all that shit. Maybe being in contact with them everyday (I study Chemistry, after all) is the worst part of it
  2. Bioshock is an excellent game, but I wouldn't call it scary.

    I've been recently playing Alan Wake though and it's very Stephen King.

    And have any of you guys played any of the F.E.A.R games? Dead Space too.

    I want to get Black Ops but have too many other games that I haven't even started playing: Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed 2, Forza 3, Mass Effect 2.

    Should be much better online than MW2 though, with the stupid dual shotguns and lets run around and knife everyone idiots. The story in MW2 was terrible as well, perhaps it's for the better than IW got broken up.

  4. Bioshock, as I've told people, is worth playing just for everything BUT playing the game. Watching someone play this game would be as much of an experience as it is to play it (okay, maybe not). The entire "feel" of the game and back story is genius and enthralling, and the plot of the game itself is better than the story of most movies I've seen and books I've read. The whole aspect of listening to tape recorders to get a context, and the 50's music etc. etc., all makes for a brilliant experience. To anyone who hasn't played it, if you're not into the game mechanics (the engine) PLAY IT ANYWAY. You'll love it. If you don't, then would you kindly see yourself out oft his thread

    Actually the gameplay is pretty good, it definitely has better shooting/action gameplay than other RPG/shooter hybrids like Fallout 3 or Mass Effect,

    I actually am waiting to get a new 360 controller which can connect to my PC so I can hook my PC up to my HDTV and play it on there (I don't think playing on a PC monitor will do it justice)

    No for sure, I didn't mean that the gameplay wasn't good! I just meant that everything besides the gameplay is just as much worth playing the game for. The gameplay is great, I love the RPG/FPS kinda thing they have goin' on. It's definitely got a unique feel.

    Unfortunately the 2nd one (and I'm sure the third one) hasn't caught my eye. I got so attatched to the first one that any other ones just seem 2nd best.

    That's because the 2nd one was a rehash of the first one and made by a different studio, not Irrational who made the original.

    They're working on a new game in a different setting called Bioshock: Infinite and it definitely looks like it'll be as good if not better than the first game.
