1. Packs are fun (But often useless)

The chemistry for a full Dutch team will be high because of nationality. My Man utd team is missing the big name players like Evra, Nani, Rooney and van Persie but the latter two go for so much that I doubt I'll ever have one
  2. All I play now, since getting it for my birthday, is Football Manager.
  3. I've been a fan since 2008, the first season without an LMA Manager for console. Didn't really play 2011 much so I skipped 2012. I would've skipped 2013 but my brother wanted me to play over network with him so much, he bought it me. Can't pull me away from it now...
  4. Haha, I didn't played 13 at all until a January or something, then I finally started a nice career (With Ajax ofc) and I like it now

    You're playing with United??
  5. Yeah, I have a single player career with Man Utd and a network game with them (my brother is Man City...). I'm in the second season on my single player game and the sixth season on network. Also got a single player save with Santa Clara in the Portuguese second division (started unemployed) and I'm midway through the second season with that. Finally, another network game that we started tonight and will rotate with the Manchester save in which I am Ajax and my brother is Nordsjaelland. We started an Ajax-PSV season last week but he became disinterested at the start of the season. I've been itching to play with Ajax for weeks but don't want to lose interest in my other saves, so this suits me fine. The potential at the club is unreal.
  6. Never done a network game, did some games with a friend and with my brother but always at the same PC, laptop.

You play multiple games at once? I always stick to one game and when I get bored I just don't play that game anymore and start a new one

The potential at Ajax is great indeed, however I had a hard time getting the team in the right shape, in the end it all worked out (Title and Cup) but it was hard the first matches.
  7. I try and rotate saves every in-game six months or so. Haven't touched my Man Utd save for a while though because I'm enjoying the Santa Clara save at the moment and I've spent a lot of time playing with them on the network. Hopefully the Ajax-Nordsjaelland network game will give me chance to go back to my own Man Utd game. Playing against my brother means there's more emphasis on winning, so I haven't had chance to develop the young players at United, something I'll look to do on my own.

Ajax's back room staff are poor given the level of facilities and the stature of the club. One of the first tasks - overhaul. It's a shame because I'd prefer to keep de Boer at the club but there's much better. I had to keep Bergkamp though Managed to get Johan Cruijff as my assistant though, so I think things even out for the fans. Maybe.

How did you do in the Champions League?
  8. I always use the editor to get De Boer as my assistent, I find it kinda stupid that Cruijff is in the game since he isn't active anymore in ''real''
For the staff I got Jaap Stam and some more ex-players, tried to get Kluivert, Litmanen and Seedorf but they weren't interested (yet)

I got into the second round in the CL, got smashed by City there In the first round I played against Real, Lille and Celtic. Finished second behind Real in the end. Winning the CL is gonna take a while, I think haha.

How did you do with United?
  9. Man City are so strong on the game. I finished second in the league, three points behind Man City (makes me feel sick). Won the FA Cup and finished runner-up in the Champions League to Arsenal. Disappointed with the league performance because with six or seven games to go, we were top by four points but I lost to Man City at the Etihad and then lost to Arsenal soon after. Couldn't get anything consistent from Rooney or van Persie either - Valencia, Nani, and Rafael out scored those two. I was happy with my progress in the domestic cups though because I tend to play a heavily rotated team to give the young players and usual substitutes a chance. As I said, I won the FA Cup (played first team in the final) and managed to get to the semi finals of the League Cup.

    Second season is under way.
  10. Yeah City is way too good and United are pretty poor here. They only finished 4th or something in the league. Loosing the CL Final to Arsenal sucks

Its kinda hard indeed to get a right formation where players operate as the do in ''real'', I always try to create a tactic myself.

    Did you bought any players?
  11. Who for? United? Single player I only signed Davide Santon as backup to and eventual replacement for Evra. How about you?

I'm happy with my formation so far. I still need to find a better balance for away games because we really do struggle. At Old Trafford, I can see the team keep over 60% possession and have 20+ shots at goal on average, even against the top sides. Away from home the shot count is often down to below 10 (only 3 or 4 on target, sometimes more against weaker opponents). I try and play like they do in reality, currently favouring a 4-2-3-1 with attacking full backs, defensive midfielder, advanced midfielder (either ball winning or deep lying playmaker depending on how attacking I want it), a line of three behind the top man with two wide inside forwards. Similar to how they lined up against Madrid, but we don't sit back
