1. The interview was really great. And it got me excited for a new album, with them talking about where they want to go.

I can't wait to watch this movie, and get that Super Deluxe box and just immerse myself in Achtung Baby.
  2. I've not listened to the album in such a long time, waiting 'til I get this so I can listen to it all again then.
  3. Kudos to Bono for acknowledging that U2 is close to being irrelevant
  4. I like an irrelevant band.
  5. They need to make a new "relevant". And that is done by being irrelevant.
  6. C'mon, guys, don't fool yourselves. An irrelevant band is a band for whom no one (in the general audience) gives a damn about. U2 is very close to that, although I really and sadly regret saying it.

What I was saying is that if you want to develop music, you need to risk being irrelevant, to create a new type of relevant music.

And I don't think you're that irrelevant if you just finished the biggest tour ever, that means there are quite a few people who actually want to listen to them.
  8. ^ In that sense, they created NLOTH. Which was unpopular and not well-recieved. I think it's a brilliant album.
  9. "It has to be said, that without this extraordinary talent, that I'm sitting beside, there is nothing here... " Bono

"I try to be a perfectionist, but I'm not quite there yet.'' - Edge

I agree completely, and I think it's kinda what they did with Achtung Baby as well.
  11. Zooropa, Pop, Original Soundtracks, Rattle And Hum, The Unforgettable Fire too.
