  2. ridiculous. about that 'exciting news in a few days' .... so there is more to come?

  3. You'd sure hope so.

Are the unreleased tracks and B-sides from TUF so shitty they had to include covers? If it didn't have that concert, I'd pass it up.

Moreover, what is exciting about re-releasing a 25 year old masterpiece.

There's plenty of excitement about a 25-year-old re-release! You can feel like a winner going in and buying or downloading the same songs you already have, a slightly upgraded concert experience and a few B-sides. Come on man, show some excitement already! This is better than the No Line boxset. Not as good as the Crazy Tonight remixes, though!

And of course, to complete your excitement, download or buy the three Best Of albums and the singles with the exact same songs again. Then it's off to the DVD section, where not only can you own four versions of Vertigo, but Beautiful Day again! Oh man, this is gonna be the week of excitement, let me tell you that much.

Hey - get the Joshua Tree boxset too and get another version of Streets to complete your collection! Why wouldn't you? I'm so excited!!!

  4. Oh yes. There's a reason he's the CEO of the world's most boring company!!!!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Now you see, if only every person was that passionate about their company, the world of business would be so much more exciting. Cough *Bill Gates* cough.
  5. I wonder what you guys expected, it's a re-issue nothing more, nothing less.
We get new songs, a new live DVD and new sound quality. Sounds fair to me.
The other remasters should have given you a hint that we're not gonna get 12 unreleased tracks (there might be a reason why some stuff stays in the closet btw,) and an unknown Proshot out of nowhere.

Not to mention that the number of people who legally obtained the content of the Bonus disc in lossless format is very limited I'd guess.

I was hoping for two CDs of unreleased songs or an extended 25-minute mix of Elvis Presley and America.

But I guess what we have got versus leaks (not happening that often now) and whatnot isn't too bad. Pretty much all the U2 video cassettes upgraded to DVD except two (1980 - 1990 and Interference), a few concerts including one we may never have officially got (Paris) and three whole albums plus many decent outtakes and extra songs as bonus features. That's actually not so bad.

Just hoping it's not overpriced like the No Line boxset...
  7. We are buying what we already have. I think it's genius.

I'm satisfied with what we'll get and will buy the deluxe box
  9. i personally can't wait for the unreleased tracks. Disappearing Act sounds very promising.
  10. Am i being picky by wanting the live version of A sort of Homecoming (UF Bside and WAIA track) and the slightly extended Pride which in in the 7" double pack single

  11. looks it, but wasn't Satellite of Love sung at the start of Bad, but then the actual cover was a b-side of Achtung Baby
