I don't have the Achtung Baby and Zooropa albums, nor any singles and I gave my Sydney DVD to a close friend.

It's not the way to celebrate THIS record.
If they do it with, let's say, HTDAAB, within 15 years, I'd completely understand.
But ok, as some of you said, the best solution for us will be to buy the Super Deluxe and forget about the Uber-thingy.
PS I don't love Paul McG, but I love the troll.

Didn't Paul McG just anounce he found a way to ban all illegal downloads in the future ?
Let's hope he can't finish it before the remaster is out then.

I tried to start a new one, and was directed to this one. That post was speculation, as the remaster was a hint of things to come. How stupid is this? You don't even get a link to skip to the last post, so it takes
around 2 min to click to the end. About as lame as U2 making us buy the damn
Sydney DVD again...not right.

Really, they DID care about the money back then.
Irony is just a way to hide your motives and being anti-commercial is often a very succesful commercial move.
This is not to be cynical but U2 just have never made a secret of their ambition to sell sell sell.
And they really really know how to do it: a lot of fans despise their marketing of releasing disappointing products, there's really a shitload of criticism, but yet -- everyone buys it in the end. Me tooAlthough I did not buy the TUF remaster as even to me, they went too far with selling crap -- it did hurt because it's my favorite album. I'm curious whether I'll buy the AB remaster.
