  3. What disappoints me the most about that Uber-Deluxe actually is the fact that they completely lost the actual Achtung-spirit about being anti-commercial and don't give a fuck about money.
    It's not the way to celebrate THIS record.
    If they do it with, let's say, HTDAAB, within 15 years, I'd completely understand.

    But ok, as some of you said, the best solution for us will be to buy the Super Deluxe and forget about the Uber-thingy.

    PS I don't love Paul McG, but I love the troll.

    Didn't Paul McG just anounce he found a way to ban all illegal downloads in the future ?
    Let's hope he can't finish it before the remaster is out then.

    Really, they DID care about the money back then.

    Irony is just a way to hide your motives and being anti-commercial is often a very succesful commercial move.

    This is not to be cynical but U2 just have never made a secret of their ambition to sell sell sell.

    And they really really know how to do it: a lot of fans despise their marketing of releasing disappointing products, there's really a shitload of criticism, but yet -- everyone buys it in the end. Me too Although I did not buy the TUF remaster as even to me, they went too far with selling crap -- it did hurt because it's my favorite album. I'm curious whether I'll buy the AB remaster.

    LOLOLOL. Paul McG only wishes he could manage that. In reality he knows about as much about the internet as my cat. I don't blame him 100% for the douchier U2 decisions of late, but he's certainly a driving force.

  9. Especially after coming off a $700 million tour....

    This is ridiculous. It says bonus features for the DVD, any hopes for a few live videos? Besides the stupid Sydney video again (which will be my third if i buy it, I found my dads old VHS version in the basement the other day).

    The only reason I semi want it is for the Fly glasses......they tempt me sooo much.

    Cause I keep reading stuff like ZooTV was that expensive they were almost bankrupt for a while
    And that because of that they became more, and eventually too, commercial.
