1. Nice topic
I'll look for some nice ones

BTW Bermuda Triangle has my interest too
  2. Oh..I got some book with a lot of modern day mysteries. Some are more serious than others though.
  3. Didnt they kinda work out what the Bermuda Triangle mystery was caused by?

  4. I believe I read somewhere it's about earth plates which collide (?) and due to that there are a lot of hurricanes and high waves in the sea.

But some people still think it's about ghosts and spirits etc.

nope it def aint what you said as loads of planes have just disappeared. I'll post the theory I heard later

  6. Well, the airplanes disappeared due hurricanes?
I must say it's been a while since I heard anything 'bout it, so it could be totally wrong indeed
  7. Original Soundtracks...

    Sorry...couldn't resist.

While I'm at it Bono's appalling mullet in the 80's.
  8. • Atlantis
    • Egyptian pyramids
    • Historical big wave
    • Roswell (or the lesser known encounter in England in the seventies)

Did the Inca's and Egyptians had contact, as their pyramids where quite the same?
Did the Vikings come to America way before Columbus?

If you read Clive Cussler's books, you'll find many interesting 'mysteries'. Cussler is a master in writing stories around mysteries.

I think pretty much everyone knows the story behind Roswell - it's very interesting. I have a book somewhere with some real-life mysteries. I'll post them up possibly tomorrow night. Like psycopaths, poltergeists, levitation - great late-night reading.

This is a great place to start: http://theshadowlands.net/

Maltby's 13 Steps To Hell is another great urban myth (and awesome for ghost stories, don't know if it's true, though). It's a cemetery somewhere in the US, you lift up a stone and go down 13 steps (hence, 13 steps) and when you look back behind you all you can see is an apparition of hell, and you instantly vanish or something, obviously into hell.

Other great places for this sort of stuff is the White House.
