    Just thought I'd bring this over from the other thread. Mine didn't come until the 2nd week of term, if I remember correctly. Wasn't happy. I mean, I did ok with the 1st part (still got £300 left), but I'd like to see a bit more in the kitty lol.

    good idea, no need for a bollocking from the Mods . they said if we registered it would come straight away, it didn't, at least it wasn't 2 weeks late like you . the moneys enough to live off, some people go mad then wonder why they are using 1000 overdraft,

    Ha, straightaway. A couple of friends from my halls didn't get theirs 'til even later than me, but in that I was rather glad that I'd saved up about £500 from jobs in the summer. About people's frugality though, I know some people who'd got through the first part halfway through the semester. Ridiculous...

    yeah, people don't seem to relalize that going out everynight so does not save you money. Being up north there is a Morrisons (and a Greggs) around every corner, that saved my life .

    I live in the only accommodation off-campus in the city, but we're 2 minutes walk from a Tesco Metro and 5 minutes from the bus-stop, not to mention 10 minutes from the centre etc. so we're sorted in every regard. How's uni. been going mate, out of interest?

    I also live in of campus accomidation, 30 mins walk or 10 mins bus from the city centre. Uni's been great cheers, Newcastles a great, if not slightly odd city, better than Peterborough. I have to keep a low profil being a sunderland fan though . How UEA? nearly went there

    Ahah, yeah, can't imagine being an honorary Mackem would go down too well (on a random note, it's quite amusing how many people I've met at UEA who are from the Midlands and upwards - lot of North/South banter invariably, although I like to be awkward and sit on the fence 'cause I'm East Anglian! None of this top/bottom of the country rubbish, we're East I tell you!)

    UEA's fantastic cheers, can't have asked for much better. Obviously, work being work, it's a pain, but the actual experience of moving into an entirely different way of life is better than I had expected. On that note, I do wish the next week and some would hurry up though 'cause there's only so much of home life I can take at any one time, and 4 weeks solid has proved more difficult than I'd have imagined over the Xmas break!

    Anyway ladels and gentlespoons, I'm calling it a night 'cause I'm knackered after the last couple of days lol. Happy New Year one and all
