    Unfortunately, two great artists have their best days behind them. The demo tapes of Michael's from the last album and the recent Akon leak wasn't too bad - very good in fact, and the original Chinese Democracy leaks were pretty good. As usual with most albums now, some songs on CD were awesome but there's fillers and questionable songs. I mean, what took 17 years?

    Muse are a fucking excellent live rock band. Totally totally awesome. Prospket's March I think is one I'll avoid this time around, why ruin a perfectly good song with some rapping over it? As I said, think of it as the Axl Rose Project. The other core members of GnR are gone, so why should it remain as that title?

    So Lyndon, you didn't like Chinese Democracy? Not even Shackler's Revenge or There Was A Time?

    I'm really starting to get into Kings of Leon too, the new album is great
    The thing is, GNR kind of went downhill after Appetite, so I don't think I'd find the Axl Rose project any better

    I think that's what most people prefer. If it was 8-10 songs then there's less room for crap. 16 songs is a little too long. I wasn't a big fan of King of Leon - it was horrible to endure. But I only ever heard one album so maybe they're good but not the album I chose. A lot of albums I've got have ten songs on them, and they're usually all pretty good songs. An album with 16 songs is asking for critical trouble.

    I thought I'd missed like eight GnR albums, but it seems I hadn't. The last album was bloody covers, but Use Your Illusion I was the last best album. Use Your Illusion II was pretty mediocre, then whatever happened with TSI from 1993 onwards is anyone's guess.

    GnR were one of those bands that were gonna fail from the beginning, because they were all drugged up assholes, as terrible as that may sound
  6. Oh, I haven't listened to it, was going by some really scathing reviews, and my friend's thoughts.

    Not that I would listen to it anyway, it's like asking me to listen to a Hip Hop album or death metal. I didn't care much for the music they made back in the 80's (though SCOF and WTTJ were fine) and I doubt I would now, especially seeing what happened to Axl and the rest of the band.

    I'll have to get some of their other stuff. The name of that album I got was Because of the Times. I really didn't like it at all.

    Abou the GnR comment, it doesn't sound terrible, because it is true. I mean, can you imagine touring and recording with this guy? (pictures removed, search for Buckethead).

    Slash has gone onto other numerous and better things with artists that are still actually good. So he did the right thing by leaving.

    I don't have Because of the Times, but I have about 3 songs that I really love Although Knocked Up is a bad opening song for an album IMO
    Don't even mention Buckethead, I hate that creep

    Slash is'nt that great a guitarist though, I can name some much better ones

    Don't go by what others say on something. Chinese Democracy is a hard album to get into, but it is worth the time.
