  7. What do people think the siren heard at the end of The Wanderer means?


  8. I can't recall where I read this - maybe At the End of the World - but the siren is the sound that a radio DJ hears after a certain period of silence on the air.

    Other than that, I doubt there's anything else to it.

    Yea I heard that too,
    On the meaning of it, It just hit me that the inclusion of the 'dead air siren' at the end of Zooropa might be to indicate that Zoo TV had stopped 'broadcasting', as it were.

    What does everyone think?

    It's what a DJ would hear if there's ten seconds of dead air on the radio. Supposedly you can hear footsteps after it as well...anyone?


    The Wanderer could have easily been a single as could all of those songs.

    Likely, it's just a noise to wake you up. Maybe the Wanderer has died and that sound is him exiting his current existence. Who knows.
