But so far, and compared to the beach clips, no
Im happy to know their better songs on the album, in case I won´t like this one
I thought the sexy boots line wudn´t be in their, but it seems to be

I don't like the sound of it either, too much Vertigo so far. But I will not judge until I hear it in full and in HQ.

No I mean its unfair until you heard the full version, your right
  3. The word funky definitely popped in my head as well. And somehow the first part reminds me of a song, but i cant remember what song! Also, if i'm hearing correctly, the backbeat in part 1 sounds like handclaps (by the way these two parts, as expected, sound differently from the beach clips, but not radically).
And I think in part 2 (bridge?) theres definitely some big/roomy drum action going on

Oh, the way he sings ''I don't wanna talk about wars between nations'' makes me me horny

  4. Quite like the snippets, I think it will be a great single. But as said before: can't judge before I heard the full song.
  5. It's funky, it's fresh, it's different..a good first single I think, but not my cup of tea when I look at these poor quality snippets. We'll hear the HQ soon though
  6. Sound quality of the snippets was indeed, shite but enough there to get a bit of the vibe.

From what is there, sounds promising.

Lanois said that Edge was bringin' the funk.
  7. The first single "Get On Your Boots" is scheduled to simultaneously go to iTunes and radio on Monday January 19th. (currently scheduled for 3:10am EST).

iTunes will have the digital download exclusive for "Get On Your Boots" for the first 24 hours. For iTunes the single will be available both as an individual download, and as an instant grat track for album pre-order (both regular and deluxe version).

Deluxe iTunes version will include Anton Corbijn's "Linear" film, and a digital collector's magazine. When you pre-order the album, you get the single immediately and get access to bonus music not available elsewhere. (details tbc)

The track is scheduled to be released physically on February 16th. Formats to include a CD maxi, CD 2 track in wallet, and CD 2 track in card case. (details tbc).

    Makes sense.
  8. So if you order the single and pre-order the album you will get bonustracks? Damn that's difficult. What is the source?

No. If you preorder the album ( no matter what version), you get the single instantly for free.
If you preorder the deluxe version, you'll get the single free and the bonus tracks.

Source is Alan Cross. But especially the´Bonus tracks thing would match with other sources.
  10. I already ordered the box version so if I do this it's just gonna be for the bonus tracks...

  11. Well, well. Seems like the sound pretty much the same as Beach Clip 3 certainly the 2nd clip is identical, the first is hampered by that audio quality which makes his voice seem higher than in the clip.

But again guys, if you don't like the snippets, you possibly aren't going to be a big fan of the single, there is a lot of 'sexy boots ,boots ,boots' being thrown around by Bono. That and the submarine/gasoline part reminds me of Elevation.

It is an interesting song though.
