  1. hey fellow u2 fans, im in the process of making a "ultimate live u2 cd" for myself that will hopefully have the single best live version of most u2 songs on it, and get me through to the 2nd march, its done now, hope u like it, sounds great imo.

    UPDATE: id also like to put songs from the 360 tour in (NLOTH and the other newbies like Mercy)

    Check out the last Sydney show (2006-11-13) for a great Kite, and some of the early shows in 1981 to 1985 for some awesome soundboard songs. It's something I'd like to do as well.

    CD = 17 - 20 songs

    I'd gladly make a a 20 Best-Songs list for you, but please tell me WHICH songs
  4. I'd take your 20 personal favorites and look on the song pages which are the best versions of those songs

  5. thnks guys ill check those out, i dont really have a list of 20, im just after some amazing live versions of any u2 song, ofcourse there needs to be a fly, WTSHNN, WOWY, BD, bad, vertigo, AIWIY,LAPOE/SBS, these r normally great live, but what u2 songs arent?
    maybe this will have to be a 2-disc project. thnks again for the suggestions.

    I would have Walk On and Stay in there, Walk On from Elevation New York 25th show, Stay from The Zoo TV Sydney or Dublin Show.

    Let me say it's a very difficult choice
    However, regarding HTDAAB tour, in my opinion you should consider Yahweh from Paris
    (an amazing guitar sound by Edge), Vertigo and I Will Follow from Milan (great audience reactions to Bono's words), Sunday Bloody Sunday and Where The Streets Have No Name from Chicago (for Bono's voice). But it's like a drop in the ocean

    Bullet the Blue Sky (Chicago or Slane or Rattle and Hum)

    Pride (In the Name of Love) (the one of rattle and hum sounds good)

    here are some suggestions... its really hard to try and make u2 songs fit into a CD.
  10. If you don't mind snippets, I'd recommend either 2005-12-05 Boston or 2005-05-18 East Rutherford for great versions of Vertigo.
  11. Does he only want soundboards or live albums and DVD rips??? i think it should all be in the same quality because its gonna sound weird if it goes all over the place cuz some sources are louder than others.
