It's been 12 years since US stadium gigs and they wanted to do US Stadiums for Vertigo so I'm sure you will get a stadium leg.

I don't think I've ever seen/heard anything stating that they wanted to do stadiums for "Vertigo". I suppose it's possible but I doubt it.
They already had the outdoor setup from the summer 2005 leg of Vertigo. If they wanted to do stadiums in the US for the Fall, they probably would have.
Just a thought.
Iv just received this in a email from U2tours...
I have serious doubts about it but you never know!!!!!
Anybody know anything about this:
"Confirmed: U2 will be performing an outdoor recorded gig in the next few weeks in Dublin. This is to be filmed by the BBC to be televised next month.
I guess they're also based in Ireland at the moment recording their new album "

since we expect the single sometime soon (hopefully) and the album to be released by Feb 27 or Mar 03 (depending on the country you're in) -- when is it likely that the tour dates will be announced? I have no memory of that from the last tour, so.... and is it usually the US they will begin playing? when could we possibly expect them to play Europe? this summer? or will it be much later?
again, I know this might have been asked and discussed before. sorry for my dumbness![]()

Translation:
It's not confirmed yet, but if we believe the rumors U2 will play 2 gigs in De Kuip (Rotterdam) in Holland on the 9th and 10th of July. Nothing official has been confirmed about presale data but they could start at the end of this month.
The new single will be released at the 19th of Januaru, the new album will hit the stores on the 2nd of March.
Funny rumour, because these dates in Rotterdam have been floating around for many months now. It doesn't confirm the Amsterdam-rumour either, so I guess Kink just wrote an article about these vague (false) tour dates. Anyway, they also say the single will be released at the 19th. Another, unofficial, confirmation.
