  1. What I remember from HTDAAB is that the lyrics of the whole album surfaced a week or two weeks before the album/music itself was leaked. I remember thinking, I now have the lyrics but I can't do anything with it, can't picture some music with some text.

    Maybe this will happen with NLOTH too. What do you feel the lyrics will be like? Will it be more personal like HTDAAB or more political?

    I have a feeling Africa will be widely covered, and for the rest I can't guess any theme that would outstand in the lyrics.

    I think (and hope) Africa is a passed station...I'm expecting more poetic lyrics from different kind of perspectives. ATYCLB and Vertigo were personal or direct (Bono's father, Africa, AIDS, Poverty history) so I hope Bono goes back to TUF, JT, AB and Pop-like lyrics.

    C'mon, you can't be serious about Africa. Bono isn't just another celebrity who "cares". He really cares and works on Africa's problems. Africa will be there in the rest of his life.

    And about lyrics...I hope we'll get more complex lyrics, like ones from Pop, Zooropa, AB, JT...

    He is a singer, frontman of a rockband, not an African Charity Organisation. Africa is in his heart and he probably all means it, but when I visit a U2-show, I wanna hear and see music, not a speech about Africa. We had it with Vertigo and slightly with Elevation, and that's enough for me t be honest. Period.

    You may call me ignorant, but I also care about Africa. And music and fame are great tools to bring out a message, but don't do it too often or it might turn against you. I just read an article about their Live Nation share deal....http://www.cnbc.com/id/28350319

    It's enough for you because you listen to bootlegs. Most of the people that attend U2 concerts don't listen to bootlegs.

  10. I think od the new album lyrics will be a mix of personnel and politics but with more towards personnel (or at least i hope so)

    i agree with you kisho, with a sparkle of poetry (the title is great, it reminds me of the green beam on pirates of carribean 3, when they turn upside down..)

  12. I guess, after we've seen descriptions of songs that it will not be personal in a way that HTDAAB or ATYCLB were, but much closer to JTree with politics, some personal stuff and writing in 3th person.
