1991 - yes from most, although agree that some would put Nevermind above it.

    1997 - no.

2000 - possibly, although I think AROBTTH (Coldplay) was released then too?

    2004 - doubt it.

    2009?? Hope so

Parachutes was released in 2000. AROBTTH was 2002... Anyway, here's my thoughts.

    1987 - yeah.
1991 - Sorry, I have to put Nevermind in front of it.
1997 - No way. Pop's a great album, but OK Computer would definitely win.
2000 - By far not their best work, but ATYCLB could have won due to it's mainstream feel.
    2004 - I wish, but probably not.
2009 - We'll just have to wait and see.
  2. 1987 - Of course
    1991 - Of course again
1997 - No. While you guys say OK Computer, Urban Hymns was the album of the year imo. Yes I know everyone but me hates The Verve, but I enjoy irritating you with it
2000 - Dunno about many albums released in 2000, but ATYCLB wasn't that bad at all.
    2004 - I like HTDAAB. Why not?
    2009 - I have a feeling U2 will win next year.

before 1987- No. U2 became big with The Joshua Tree.
