I have recently gotten into Depeche. I've had "Enjoy the Silence" for a while, but I just decided to look into them about a week ago. Absolutely great.
Dave Gahan advises that the album will probably surface in the spring of 2013, and that the band are trying to get a couple of tracks out before the release, with a possibility of something coming out toward the end of this year.
"We've recorded probably close to twenty songs so far, and they're all starting to get in pretty good shape. We're now starting to whittle that down what's gonna be the record."

Thought we would post up an update on some of the bits and pieces coming out through various interviews and press about the forthcoming Depeche Mode record. According to Martin, it seems the record will be a twelve track affair with three songs written by Dave, along with Kurt, and the rest will be from himself. The remaining songs will be used on a special format of the album that we hope to find out more about at some point. Of course we’re all hoping for something similar to the Sounds Of The Universe Deluxe box, so let’s wait and see what they come up with. The band finished recording the record October 19th and Flood will begin mixing in London over the coming month. I don’t need to remind most fans, but for you casual fans, this is the first time he has worked with the band since Songs Of Faith And Devotion (not to forget his take on “Freelove” of course). In tour news, the band are heading to Louisiana in a couple of weeks to shoot footage for the live show with Anton and Martin has said, “We’re probably playing the biggest tour we’ve ever done in our lives”. More info to come, but a lot to be excited about!
Depeche Mode are set to release their 13th studio album in March 2013 on Columbia Records. “I am very happy with how the album turned out,” comments DM’s Martin Gore. “The music has a similar vibe to Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion and I think the songs on the album are among some of the very best we’ve done.”
