1. ...what's different about the Washington solo? Swear it sounds the same as the generic ZooTV solo - Paris '92 on the other hand...

  2. Would you be able to up that Paris 92 version for me? Thanks.
I agree though with you all that the song needs the Edge solo section to return.

  3. Oh...it had to come sooner or later.

Seriously, I'll tell you the With or Without You Mistake. Playing it on the Vertigo tour in the first place. Bono has lost all passion for the song. It's been a gradual decline since Zoo.
  4. There's a lot of other songs which could be said as having the same effect since Zoo as well.
  5. The Paris 92 solo is interesting in parts, however i'm not sure if all of it works.
But it's hard to improvise a solo on the spot, that completely fits in with the song.
    Like the normal ZooTV solos.

The 'solo' part you are talking about, from the May 7, 1992 Paris, France show IS different. But there is a very good reason for that...

...it isn't The Edge playing that bit, it was Bono. You can hear Edge playing the "Infinite Guitar" bit underneath.

I have heard others from different tours like that. What does everyone think of this slight change or is it just me thinking that line is gone? Thanks.

He "skipped" the same verse at LA 87 (Nov 18). I´m sure he simply forgot it.

Really, wow, I better check to see I'm listening to the same ZooTV Paris show and not the 93 one or something.

  9. Yeah I know he did it also during that time on the U2 JT DVD that was released in that re-release of Joshua Tree. I forget the show and the date but it happened there to.

  10. I think the one in Gothenburg is great, although obviously not as good as the Zoo-TV ones. You should give it a listen!

  11. I have and it's crap
