1. The stadium holds 50000 . Its due to open in a couple of months . The one down side to it is that at one end it goes down as low as 14 rows of seats because of planning permission problems because of the houses at the bath avenue end of the stadium but its very impressive looking . U2 Have not played there since august 97 so it will be a great atmosphere and its a much nicer side of the city than Croke park . No disrespect meant :-) there are a lot of cheap nearby hotels and ill post links to them as soon as the date is announced because the price of rooms will shoot up once its announced officially.Cant wait
  2. Will be confirmed in due time I guess. Nice spot, nice looking new stadium and a perfect candidate for a great show plus DVD
  3. hopfully they will fit in a Wembley gig before Irleand

only 50,000??? look like it would hold heaps more

  5. As I said it goues as low as 14 rows of seats at one end due to the houses at one end . the two tiers hold 20000 each and the middle section of corporate boxes and premium seats holds 10000 . hopefully the claw will be placed at the high end . Croke Park was a bit embarressing being the only shows of the tour not to be the full 360 degrees . It looked rediculous but I suppose the right to be rediculous is something i hold dear This could be a really special gig . It will be dark for kick off to which makes all the difference !!!

im tempted to get a passport and use my presale codes

  7. Would be a special trip . Two australians were standing behind me at the second night of Slane in 2001 . They came all the way to Ireland to see it . I must post a pic of them . They could be members here
  8. 12th october is not do-able for me (school)... next time maybe

  9. Id be very surprised with the 12th . Id say 15th/16th is more likely . Bring your rain cost
  10. Thanks for the reports Gerry.
Probably will not be restricted to only one conncert then I assume
    Keep us posted
  11. Gerry, you're the man for bringing such great news here

even though I love the excitement about it - as October would be perfect timing for me regarding my work schedule - I see all my other 360 concerts for this summer fade away as another Ireland trip will just cost some money again.... ... but if they play Ireland and it gets confirmed, I'll be happy to go and dream it all up again
