We don't give a damn. They always mess up the informations, the dates, everything. U2.com is the source when it comes to confirmed information (eg. release of singles, albums, etc), but a phrase of them, wheter it's written or gone, won't decide if there's a Eire show this year, at all. I mean, U2.com is not U2, and is not Principle Management. They don't decide anything.
  2. just taking the chance of Lansdowne in October... how long before a show would definitely happen would they announce the date? what would be the minimum time before a show they would officially announce it? (i.e. what is the maximum time I have to wait until I know if I'll head to Dub in October or not?) any ideas?

well, I guess it doesn't count as a good example since it wa the start of the tour, but Barcelona's tickets were put on sale on March 25th. That means just 3 months before the show. So... I wouldn't expect an immediate announcement (if there's any).

  4. If this is true, than there must be more dates added! No UK or Holland dates simply don't make sense.
  5. A well, tickets go on sale later then an announcement, but like with Zurich it can be quickly too. Problem is that maybe they're still not sure if the stadium will be 100% ready at that time?

Maybe Gerry has some more news, if they already apply for permission and so, must be a good sign.

For the UK and NL, guess UK will be only Glastonbury and NL will not get. Suppose Dublin will be the only exception, also because it's a new stadium and off course there's no better opening act then 4 local men

In case you're wondering, all of U2's 2010 European shows are now announced.

The tour will visit Russia, Turkey, Greece and Finland among others places, as per www.u2.com/tours http://www.u2.com/tours.

But U2 Tour Promoter Arthur Fogel has urged fans to be aware. 'Fans should always check U2.com first, it's the most reliable on any dates. Recent rumours, like Dublin and Tel Aviv, are unfounded.'

    U2.com.
  7. I'm sad for those who hoped for a Dublin gig, but quite happy for myself actually. The gap between Moscow and Vienna is left unused, so Bono will have a lot of time to rest and I should see him in a fiine shape.
  8. No Holland gig!?
    That sucks
  9. Unless there is a huge change in plans, the dates that have been announced and sold are all there are.

McGuinness has said that in a few different interviews.

But as usual, time will tell and band/management do change their minds.
  10. Still hopeful for Dublin. Why apply for permissions if there are no plans to play. There have always been late additions to tours.
  11. they're talking about 2010..... there is still 2011
