My guess is that they are fed of touring the UK. They toured the UK extensively during the early years. You may find that they want to tour different places.

My argument would be "why play Soldier Field and Stade de France again when you played there twice each in the first 2 legs". That's what I don't really understand. As much as I want U2 to return to the UK, I also want them to tour places they haven't toured before because that's fair and it's nice to see.

  4. Why would they play The Emirates Stadium when you could just play in Wembley Stadium which is about 20,000 seats bigger and in the same city?

Probably won't get it now since you're FA guy accused Spain and Russia of match fixing. I could think of a few better places but England is a good place for the World Cup, definately
  7. Nah, Holland and Belgium are going to host the world cup in 2018

But back on topic, when can we expect any news on the European leg? Is it no news is good news or will there be a statement if it's going to be delayed or not?
  8. The Claw destroys football pitches and it takes time for the pitch to recover afterwards. The premiership will be up and running again when the Europe leg starts meaning little or no available venues.

  9. 1:05 - 1:25

    US leg in spring 2011?
  10. Interesting. Leaves much room for other legs as well.

But with 92 league teams, some owning their stadium, some not - it could be a welcome cash boost to clubs lower down the league structure. U2 did play Don Valley, I'm sure there are larger stadiums that they could play and team would be willing to sacrifice their pitch for some money. Then again, the pitch would've just been laid...
