1. I wouldn't get your hopes up too soon. If they are planning to announce these dates along with the North American dates we all know that is ages away. As someone who had to endure the agonising wait for the Vertigo concerts to be re-scheduled U2 like to take their time and gets things right.

I would also think it would be unlikely that they would be booking in future dates for certain before Bono can have a 'trial leg' through Europe and see how he manages it.

Having said that, I will cry if they don't arrive on our eastern shores soon!

  2. More a sign of premature reporting without any official confirmation rather than anything else I'm afraid. Richard Wilkins was the first on Today show this morning and news bulletins then jumped on the bandwagon.
  3. Seems Bono's recovery is going well and it looks like he'll make it
for the start of the tour. But an official word would be nice. On the other hand, one wrong move and he's back to the start
  4. the hot news it that theyve penciled in a show at the ANZ stadium in sydney

  5. This is really exciting stuff!
  6. New Zealand is hoping.............
  7. Now that Morumbi is off the 2014 world cup I believe in 3 nights in São Paulo next year
  8. U2 To Officially Announce Oz Tour

We nearly choked on our cornflakes when we heard this news early this morning. U2 will officially announce dates for their Aussie tour in August!

Our music reporter Nui Te Koa broke the news to Triple M Melbourne's Hot Breakfast show this morning.

"U2 are about to announce their Australian tour for 2011," said Nui. "This announcement will roll out in August.

"Big players Live Nation, who are the world's biggest tour company, have moved to Melbourne, they're setting up an office here and they will announce the U2 tour in August."

And when does Nui think the concert will be? "The concert will be next summer so early 2011".
