No rumours have originated from Belfast yet. I have a friend working at the council and he hasn't heard anything yet either.
  3. Spanish web U2Valencia mentioned Belfast, Madrid and another city (Bologna? can't remember) when they quoted the oirignal U2Place source that I posted days ago... but I didn't find the U2valencia reliable enough to post it.
  4. A well, what is reliable anyway in these kind of rumours
  5. A 2nd show in NZ? Now that would be amazing.. I'm not gonna lie.

  6. Don't know, never been to Guus Meeuwis lol

    No they won't.
By then they've played over 100-120 shows.
You can't expect them to play the same tour on the same locations over and over again...
I mean, Dublin already had 3 shows, Holland 2, England 3. For a world-tour, that's enough per country.

You don't know.. they are always up for something new and unique.
And about the the shows, why not? Aslong as they refresh the show and setlists.
Some tours they played 4 times in one country so why not 5?

  8. Nothing wrong with Dubllin - I love the place but I personally dont think it merits another show for the following reasons:

    * its already had 3 on this tour
    * the hassle the band get everytime they play there (blocked trucks anyone?!) This isnt 360 specific either - its happened on lots of tours
    * as ive said before, Ive personally found Dublin shows to be massively overrated. I found the Vertigo and 360 gigs at Croke to be good but not great. Slane was the exception (brilliant)
  9. All those reasons aside, it is still their hometown That warrants 10 other shows if they want to

You have Croke to blame for all of that. The stadium is feet from folks houses. The new Aviva is in a nicer part of town as well as being a nicer stadium. I'm also pretty sure that the band actually want to play there. It's one of the nicer stadiums in Europe.

Dublin shows are overrated but who's fault is that? Old Dublin shows used to be great but Dublin shows from Vertigo onwards are 50% tourist. U2 in Dublin is a tourist attraction and not a homecoming concert like they used to be.

Good point on Croke Ger - it aint the best. Id be game to give the Aviva a go to see if its any better.

I want to love going see them 'at home' but Slane aside, its been a disappointment so far.

Shows are "overrated" because people have too high expectations of those shows, like oo they will play Bad, 40, ASOH for sure, Dublin must be special etc etc. So if that doesn't happen then people are maybe dissapointed, while in fact they were at a great show in a great city.
