we haven't really got a proper stadium here

  2. Then go and book that flight NOW!

Just kidding, but I do understand you.

Why on earth Romania. Assume there's hardly a fan base there in that region. And besides that it's not really a destination that many fancy.

Hope an announcement on Ireland will come soon.

Since when should any band come only to the "great cities"? It's not all about the tourism. A band should play for their fans, no matter where they live. And I assure you that there is a fan base here. Plus we'll have a brand new stadium ready by this summer.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Budapest, which is indeed a great city. If you decide to visit, I'll show you around, I'm sure you'll find plenty great things here too.

I think Bucharest would sell out in no time at all. If a new stadium is there, you can bet local promoters will be trying to cut a good deal to take the show there.

Both the Zoorpoa gig at Nep Stadium (now Ferenc Puskas Stadium?) in Budapest and the Popmart at Strahov Stadium in Prague were successes so why not Romania?

I for one will be there if it happens
  5. you think Bucharest would sell out quickly? because then we (= me and a friend of mine) should consider saving our presale code for Bucharest instead of Dublin
  6. Uke, no more chirps from the local birds about a possible show in Bucharest?

So many bands visited Bucharest recently, U2 shouldn't be exeption.

  7. Totally. As I said - U2 played there in 1993

  8. there's a chance it may fall into pieces if Edge hits the strings a bit hard

After they rescheduled the 2010 US leg for 2011, I said that if there's going to be another european leg this year, they will play in Romania for sure. Now, with the UK and Ireland rumours going around, it's becoming more and more clear that they plan another leg in August-September.
There is quite a hysteria here about the fact that U2 is the only mega-band that didn't visit our country. Everyone agrees that this was because we didn't have a proper venue to host such an event.
Anyways, even though there's nothing official, the promoters will tear each other down to sign U2.
It happened the same in 2010 with AC/DC, after the hoax from 2009.
So, late August, early September, they will play here, mark my words

    Well, no. That's a tour in 4 different years which isn't really a 4 year tour. September 2009- September 2010 = 1 year, October 2010 - September 2011 = 1 year, October 2011 - September 2012 = 1 year. 1+1+1=3

in this case you're right .. math is not an opinion
anyway tour started on june 30th
    kidding
