So many bands visited Bucharest recently, U2 shouldn't be exeption.

After they rescheduled the 2010 US leg for 2011, I said that if there's going to be another european leg this year, they will play in Romania for sure. Now, with the UK and Ireland rumours going around, it's becoming more and more clear that they plan another leg in August-September.
There is quite a hysteria here about the fact that U2 is the only mega-band that didn't visit our country. Everyone agrees that this was because we didn't have a proper venue to host such an event.
Anyways, even though there's nothing official, the promoters will tear each other down to sign U2.
It happened the same in 2010 with AC/DC, after the hoax from 2009.
So, late August, early September, they will play here, mark my words

    Well, no. That's a tour in 4 different years which isn't really a 4 year tour. September 2009- September 2010 = 1 year, October 2010 - September 2011 = 1 year, October 2011 - September 2012 = 1 year. 1+1+1=3

in this case you're right .. math is not an opinion
anyway tour started on june 30th
    kidding
  5. i don't think Bucarest can be the only show in that part of europe ... Czech repuplic, Hungary, whatever?
it could be in my wrongable thoughts

Well, there will be the UK + Ireland gigs. Maybe Romania, Hungary etc. There was also a rumour of another Paris gig at Stade de France as well. I think yeah might have posted that, could have been someone else, not sure.

those UK rumours have gone so quiet

they surely wouldn't bring all the stuff here just for one show. but I don't really think any country near Romania would likely host a U2 show.

If you look at places that have still to be visited and could sell out shows then we could realistically look at:

    Rotterdam
    Arnhem
    Budapest
    Prague
    Bucharest
    Madrid
    Lisbon

Add those to Dublin (x2/3), London, Cardiff and Edinburgh and you have a seriouss leg of touring on your hands.

Oh and finally, I had a thought last night that they might finish the tour at the Nou Camp thus making it a 360 Tour - ie going full circle and finishing where they started!

Too much time on my hands I think!!!!!!
  9. This years Ireland and England tour rumors have vanished so this Romania rumors brings me again the hope theres going to be some europe concerts this year! I've seen 360 4 times now and I wanna have some more, please, like all the rest of you of course

Prague doesn't have stadium for 360 - Strahov Stadium (1997 Popmart show - 80.000 attenfance, Pink Floyd 1994 - 120.000 attendance) is old, ready to tear down and there is training center with buildings on the field - no chance
There is new one stadium, but just for 21.000 - so no chance
other Prague stadiums aren't ready for any concert...

So no Prague for 360 Tour

  11. uhm i don't know if Horsens, for example, was bigger

    Good idea!!!

I was just thinking about that Bucharest is really very far from the UK so that seems a bit unlikely to me that they'd pack up and bring the stage all the way from the UK to Romania (or even Paris is far away from Bucharest). Wouldn't be more logical to do a UK tour and then go to Bucharest and some other countries around there e.g. Serbia or maybe to Asia? Dunno.

They say about the stadium in Budapest that it's in a very poor condition (it is indeed) and U2 wouldn't go there because it's not safe. I don't buy this because the stadium was good enough for Metallica and the Stones. And Metallica I think get slightly noisier than our guys I'm sure the stage would fit into the stadium btw so that can't be a reason to skip Budapest. A reason can be though that folks around here don't really give a damn to U2 so I'm not sure about a sell out show here.

I've read somewhere that the Rotterdam stadium has the same poor condition issue.
