I think concerts make to much money for them to say no, and even if one stadium said no, i doubt they all would. It was probably just the economic climate or a plan to come back for a UK leg later on

Radio and TV stations in eastern Canada are all abuzz today with rumors that U2/Live Nation is about to announce a new U2 360 concert in Moncton, New Brunswick. The show would reportedly take place on July 30th at the Magnetic Hill concert site, and some rumors say the show could be announced as soon as next week.
