So? Think about when the South American dates have been announced, and when the Australian/NZ dates have been announced? It's only February, and it's late August/September when these possible dates are going to be taken place.
Yeah, they will be more expensive. But there is nothing you can do about that.
The delay might be that they have finalised the dates yet. OR it could be that all this is a load of bullshit, and there isn't going to be any dates.

But seriously dude, just be patient. Because it's only February. If anything doesn't get announced by about June, start getting uptight and worried.

You seem to know better what I am losing...
Anyway, my point was that there were no problems to announce last year's gigs about one year earlier. Over that, again, there were no problems to add new dates weeks after the first announcement. I believe it was the case for Rome? Maybe more. Perhaps the deals were not finalized, as you say.
But if they are really to play and finish in Dublin, as they said they wanted for quite some time now, I doubt that everything is not yet set. What I'm saying is that if they have the dates, they should make them public.
  2. I already booked my hotel in Dublin

  3. Well, it's easy to book around all week-ends in September and August and, most of all, it's free.
Maybe I booked a hotel not far from Aviva stadium, I don't remember.
Things change when it comes to booking the flight. But if I had to chose a week-end and risk, it would be September 16-18, though 23-25 is not so unlikely, if we think about the weather.
  4. Maybe there aren't any European anouncements because there just won't be a new European leg...
Anyway I remember that when the last European leg was anounced a year I advance, the majority of people here complained that It was waaay to soon. Now that it takes a while, what do I read ? Complaints. It's getting a rather funny place here
  5. Another thing: Belgium television, radio and newspapers said that U2 will headline Glastonbury. (Other would be Beyoncé and Coldplay)

I couldn't visit the site for a while because of a computercrash, but I'm quite surprised there's nothing mentioned here
  6. Here in Brazil, midia is repoting Coldplay in Glasto, but nothing about U2...Anyway, too many rumors about many festivals here....
  7. For what it is worth......
    rumor in The telegraph today:

By Martin Chilton, Digital Culture Editor 12:10PM GMT 15 Feb 2011
Glastonbury festival organiser Michael Eavis today announced that Coldplay will make "a triumphant return" to headline the 2011 event.
Eavis told the festival's official website that Coldplay would headline the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday June 25th 2011 - the first time they've played the event since they headlined the same stage in 2005, having also done so in 2002.

Beyonce is also set to play a headline slot and U2, who pulled out of the 2010 event after singer Bono injured his back, are expected to be the third headliners. "

  8. That means it would be:

    Friday - U2
    Saturday - Coldplay
    Sunday - Beyonce

U2 can only really take Friday because it's right the middle of Baltimore & East Lansing. So that gives them time to get to Glastonbury and time to get back to USA.
  9. Read on Zootopia from a Dutch fan who has contacts with a Stageco employee that U2 have rented The Claw until 2015

    Nah, I don't believe that.
