1. What do you think about the rumour that came up at u2place.com?

New album and arena (+ some stadiums) tour next year...

    I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not gonna say it'll never happen but it's really unlikely. They've been touring for the better part of 3 years and I just can't see them fronting up for that again so soon. Maybe we'll get a new album (and not just the AB re-release) in time for Xmas 2012, but I just don't see them touring it before 2013.

Maybe a new song or two for benefit or charity, similar to that Christmas song for RED. As for tours, a possible apperance somewhere to promote, if it does happen, new songs from the AB remaster like what was done with Wave Of Sorrow.

A new album - totally unlikely. I haven't seen these rumours but I do eventually have to update my SoA timeline thread.
  4. the more optimistic and likely things are new album at the end of 2012 and tour during 2013
  5. SoA sounded already too good at the beginning As long as they release something this year I'l be happy
  6. i reckon they might do the 'release an album without a tour' thing that most big bands do at some point in their career... U2 have yet to do this (if you don't include passengers)
  7. summarizing an article of an italian newspaper (La Stampa)
Live Nation seems to be interested in taking the administration of the Olimpico stadium in Turin.
"and for the season 2012 Live Nation has in program Rolling Stones, Madonna and U2 again"
  8. The 360 can't/shouldn't/won't go on forever...
  9. agree
    +1

  10. I would have nothing against them coming back to Europe, 'cause I want to see this tour pretty badly

  11. one more round of Europe shows with an apotheosic finale in Dublin would be absolutely welcome, but I can't see that happening in 2012 - unless there's a new album.

I think that live nation still believes in U2 when they are telling them that they are going to release an album soon.
