1. Me too, atmosphere would be great. Everyone loving songs like Pride, never heard before.
  2. I wouldn't mind a confirmed St Petersburg date. Flights arent that expensive

Me neither. That's why I say indoor shows are wishful thinking.
As much as I would love to see them doing arena's again, I doubt that they've built the Claw for 44 shows only. Also, most of the rumoured locations for 2010 don't have an indoor location that's big and modern enough to hold a U2 gig.
But I'd love to be wrong.

On another note: RTL Television reported about a possible St. Petersburg concert next year.

Indeed, The Claw would never fit an indoor venue. Although the idea itself is interesting. I'd love to see U2 in Ahoy or something.
  4. How about coming to Russia. Thats not very easy. You need to request that and things like that.
  5. Of course they wont play Russia lol

It would be awesome, but never going to happen. People there never even heard of U2 lol....

You think? Sure they heard of them and I'm sure they have a rather great fanbase there. Russia has changed since the Cold War..it's not only vodka and people wearing big coats.

Nope, it isnt like in the Cold War anymore. But the normal man on the street still has no idea of democracy and freedom of speech. Only high politicians and such do.

Of course they have fans there and people know them, but there's still a very small chance they'll ever go there.

Don't agree, if Madonna can play Moscow, U2 can play St. Petersburg.

  9. Madonna played Moscow?

Ouch...I take back what I just said
    Didnt expect that...
  10. Macca played St Petersburg too. And Red Square in Moscow

  11. She did in 2006, if I'm right
  12. You can just sense a 'Back In The USSR' snippet in Beautiful Day already......
