Wasn't a complaint, just was wondering, also seen the time that's in between. And not only my trip, money etc, but guess many here will travel. I know that off course this isn't taking into account with setting up the schedule, as that's done for the local people.

Then I'd think the earlier they announce a date, the easier it's to plan a trip.
Or maybe I'm just missing your point.
  2. Brussel will also be added, just read the intro on U2.com:

Following the success of the 2009 tour, U2 have confirmed that their acclaimed 360° Tour will continue in 2010. European fans who missed out in 2009 will have a new opportunity to experience the U2 360° Tour extravaganza with stops confirmed in Germany, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Austria, Greece, Turkey, France, Brussels, Spain and Portugal. Having just introduced the U2 Mobile Album, 'No Line On The Horizon', the band's 12th studio album, the 2010 tour will once again be sponsored by BlackBerry.

..but what if you plan a trip, then they announce a gig in your home country ?? I'm looking at possibly Paris, but what if they then go and announce London or wherever in the UK at a later date ?

They should release all dates at the same time, especially if it's this far in advance.

  4. C'mon guys be thankful that they're touring your continent for the second time instead of being so picky about cities and venues etc.
Relatively easy to see them in neighbouring countries if they're not in your backyard.

Noone forces you to book anything right now. As you say, plenty of time to wait for more gigs. Also, it's clearly announced that more dates will be added soon.
With these dates confirmed, we're in the comfortable situation, to make a plan A for the dates confirmed and a plan B for those still to come, imho.

    Just go twice then

From this new batch am planning on Paris and Vienna, plus Istanbul - the crowd out there will be amazing - not to mention what a great city it is for a nice trip.

I agree, but the point is that these are over a year away. Would it hurt them to wait until all venues are confirmed and release the dates in the new year ? Then everyone knows where and when at the same time.

Just seems a wee bit strange to announce these at the moment, that's all. Isn't there supposed to be another US leg before this one ?
  8. can we keep here for rumours on dates that have NOT been announced. Use the general tour topic for discussing the newly announced shows

  9. ok i'm not "complaining" but i am gutted there are no UK dates! the way things are at the moment i can barely afford to see them in this country let alone travel to another one...

i'll keep my fingers and everything else crossed for at least one UK date to be announced in the near future
  10. What are the chances that they'll announce more european dates? I see some gaps..

  11. more european dates 100%
    UK dates ?
