1. Let Me In The Sound is the new Boom-Cha!

  2. hehe, remember my words when they're on tour
  3. it'l either be awesome live, or it will suck. It'l surely be awesome but we can't discuss the live version yet as there hasn't actually been one yet.

  4. Aha, maybe...ahhhh, Discotheque...

Hopefully people will have less trouble coming to terms with this concept than some did with the thing about the Beach Clips not being a guarentee or a definite guide regarding what would be actual released material lol.
  5. The song is all over the place. It sounds like a work in progress. I'm desperately trying to like it

  6. Leave it where it is. It will come back itself once...maybe. And maybe not. I did the same with lots of U2 songs and many of them are now my TOP U2 songs.
  7. I'll not listen to it again for a week and see. It reminds me of Miami for some reason. Probably because i'm not liking it at all.

Another good Gerard typo there lol...

It might never click with your musical fascinations, but on the other hand in, say, a month or two, you'll turn it on by chance and it'll all make sense. Music is a strange beast that reacts differently to everyone's personal approaches, so who knows. A big part of me is just rejoicing in hearing new material based on sheer 'yay!' factor, but unlike Vertigo it wasn't a case of 'classic U2 sticking to what they know', it was very much how I was when I first listened to Zoo Station for the very first time many years ago (but this time I've got a LOT more grounding in their material and would like to think I have a feel for U2isms...)...

If any of that makes any sense lol.
  9. I should like it though. I love all the U2 not actually being U2 stuff and this is kinda what this is. I just don't get it. I'll get the live version (just like Miami again), I know I will. I'm pissed I don't like it.

I think the one thing for me that is the major hindrance is, as Jonny also brought up a while back, what the bloody hell is the song actually ABOUT? I'm not sure whether you're one to place much stock on a song by having some kind of contextual understanding, but to my mind there's no clear message to the song, there's no like background for it - it's just come straight from nowhere (in some respects) and knocked everyone over. That's probably the only thing that VAGUELY gets to me.
  11. Its rock n' roll with electronic overtones. whats not to like??? especially with the hushed/rushed verses. those are amazing!

    Let me in the sound
    Let me in the sound
Let me in the sound, sound
