If they had to do a collaboration with a hip hop artist, they should have gone with Jay Z, who is supposedly better, certainly his contribution to Coldpay's Lost+ was well done, with some impressive lyrics.

And what does it mean by U2 produced NLOTH 2, not Eno & Lanois (who are credited for the music though).

Judge after listening please. And Jay-Z's collaboration with Coldplay wasn't a success imo.

  2. Jay-Z ruined it for me...

Maybe the Will.I.Am vocals are the reason why it's NLOTH 2

And maybe the boys in U2 did this one completely themselves
without help of Eno and Lanois?
Another reason why it could be a B-side

  4. definitely. I was totally enjoying the piano and suddenly, there's jay-z grunting his hip hop crap into the song. bah.
  5. NLOTH 2 slightly differs in speed and instrumentation. Also the closing part is a little different.
    Looking forward to Will

Oh, and it looks like the difference between the 2-track and the 3-track version will be that the "3-track" version has a download link for the Boots video.

  6. I think it's pretty good, cool that they were open to that experimentation. I prefer the regular version, and I'm no fan of Jay-Z, but i thought it an interesting collaboration. Wil.I.Am is certainly not the first person to think of when collaborating with U2, but we'll see. I'm not really a fan of hip hop though

Did you hear the Beach Clip?

Release date is Feb 20th now (confirmed by Universal Germany)
