1. Can't say I've heard of this one Mark...

    Quite possibly one of the most bizarre posts I've seen in a good while lol.

    Why?

    Pardon?

    I fear this topic may have lost the spirit of its title...and as a result, here I shall now attempt to put everything back on track;

    GOYB - Harry's review = I like it. The more I listen, the more I like.

  2. Are we discussing a song here?

    I still like the song but it could be so much better. Curious for tomorrow's premiere.

    And I like GOYB AND your review
  4. I love get on your boots. The bongo drums and the guitar rift are just wonderful

    B-side to the 'Is That All?' single lol

    Oh, im so buying that on e-bay
    joking lol.
  5. To understand Get On Your Boots you must be Get On Your Boots.

    Burn it, crank it and go ripping down your streets singing/screaming the song at the top of your lungs "Let me in the sound! Let me in the sound!" increasing your speed with the tempo, pumping your breaks with the kick drum, engine rumbling as if the hand of Himself of the Clayton were plucking away at your heart and soulwith His big ol' authentic U2 thumb. And then, in that one, messaniac vertigo-induced moment when your car finally lifts off the ridge of the interstate bridge and your caught suspended in the air, hovering above the world like a funfair rocket, watching the sirens flash, kids screaming, your hood torn to pieces, the smell of gasoline, submarine, ice cream, trampolines...in that one beautiful moment, there will be, truly, No Line on the Horizon. And you, my son, all will be clear. The song, the album, the video, the prerelease hype. You will have transcended, will be GOYB. It is the way. The only way.

    ....I may or may not be wanted in a few states

    (In all seriousness...well, SOME seriousness, the new single is fantastic I think. Sure the chorus doesn't have the lift the song builds to and the riff's a little familiar but GOYB is up there, for me, as one of the funnest sing along U2 songs. And it grows with every listen. What more could you ask for?)

    nice review I agree about becoming the song, I think all of U2's songs work the best when you step inside them, they aren't background songs
