  1. didn't sit and listen it for 3-4 times in a row, but so far the song is good, make me thing a little bit about Fast cars, can't wait to hear the rest... i think we have to wait and judge the aldum in it's whole concept , not just a song...but good so far...
  2. 3 stars, and it's had any chance of growing on me. The chorus is a letdown, sounds like a leftover from HTDAAB.

    A lead single really needs a belter of a chorus by nature. Even Zoo Station which some people are comparing GOYB too had a catchy chorus.

    (Not that it's better than OOTS, Please, Streets or Bad but it's certainly worth 5 stars)

    5 stars for me too. I really enjoy listening to it like I do when I listen to songs as The Fly, Streets, Zooropa, Gone, Last Night, etc. It's a new U2 epic for me.

  9. So is a 5 star song perfect in your book? ie. one that couldn't be improved further?


  10. No, 5 stars doesn't have to be THE perfect song, but a good song which I really like could cetainly be worth 5 stars...And the chorus of GOYB is beautiful IMO...Bono sounds really awesome there, I don't think he sounded this good on a lot of album songs.

    You mean the 'you don't know how beautiful you are' bit? that sounds like HTDAAB both in the lyrics and the singing, it isn't much different to COBL.

    The quality of his singing is hardly in the chorus is hardly exceptional either, sounds like any other rock band could do.

    What makes it such a standout to you? The verses seem much better than the chorus to me. They have good, visual lyrics and an interesting rhythm.

    Well, I also like COBL, so to me it's a positive thing that it isn't much different from that. It sounds like something from Zooropa, Pop or maybe even Passengers, three albums I truly like

    And it's especially the feeling
