  1. I will admit I'm a fan of Bono's solo projects. I have more than 40 songs of Bono singing alone or with 3rd party artists and I love them.

    Some examples:
    - With Frank Sinatra on I've Got You Under My Skin.
    - Collaborations with the Corrs; Summer Wine and When The Stars Go Blue.
    - His Beatles songs; Walrus and Lucy in the sky.
    - I Wanna Be Around with Tony Bennett.
    - In The Name Of The Father.
    - Alicia Keys; Don't Give Up.
    - Stay with Armstrong orchestra.
    - Velvet Dress with Jools Holland.
    - And a lot more!

    Do more people like his solo projects? If so, which?
  2. I like his solo projects very much. Especially the songs with The Corrs, and the version of "Velvet Dress". Although I still prefer the "original" version of Velvet Dress, the "new" version adds some more depth to it. I like listening to it.
    And recently I came to enjoy "Don't give up Africa", which I couldn't stand for quite a while.

    I think his solo projects show some different layers of his talent that don't find their way into U2 songs, and I enjoy discovering them.

  4. Velvet Dress with Jools Holland is the only one that springs to mind other than that version of Silver & Gold (Sun City) with Keith Richards. Random collaborations as a band with other artists come more readily to mind.

  6. I really like Velvet Dress, Lucy In The Sky... and When The Stars Go Blue...but I'm not a huge fan of Bono solo...
  7. In the name of the father - that track is pure gold. And would easily fit on the new album.

    But I also like Slide Away and New Day a lot.
  8. the colabaration with frank sinatra, i cant find this anywhere on itunes or on frank sinatra cds in shops. ive also checked amazon for the cd that it is on and i still cant find it! any ideas where i can download it? cheers

  12. well ive got the digital download of the single stay when i purchased the complete U2 from itunes couple year ago. however that wasnt on it, only slow dancing, love is blindness(live) and BTBS (live)! Hmmm!

    hopefully it will b in the next u2 digital download on itunes when it is again released.

    anyone know where i could find it if it isnt?
