1. Seeing a concert movie around a bunch of other people definitely adds to the experience. Not that I've ever done it before...I can only presume.

    U2:3D

There were only seven of us in the room though...
  3. I watched U2:3D with a sold-out cinema room and it was mindblowing.

Still in search for a cinema showing this in Madrid

In the meanwhile, Led Zeppelin official page in facebook just said:
We have been made aware that at some screenings of “Celebration Day”, there have been complaints that the sound is not loud enough. Omniverse, the film’s distributors have been working with local cinema chains to ensure that this issue is addressed urgently. However, it is a good idea to check with the cinema before the screening that they will be playing it loud!

    That sucks.
  4. It's playing at 11:59 (start time) at three theatres across Toronto this evening.
  5. The 2 CD album has leaked. Sounds terrific (Mr. Plant sounds meh)!
  6. Where?

    Oh, right.

  7. YEP. It sounds fantastic but you should really have seen it before you listened because you can tell they are going HARD.

  8. Indeed, Mr Plant doesn't sound good. But the guitar is still just fantastic.
  9. ^If that's the case (Plant's poor voice), I really hope they get some of those concerts from the 1970's reissued. Supposedly they are re-re-remastering their albums again. Hopefully they'll include a promoting concert with each reissue.

    Now THAT would be great.

  10. I have been listening to Celebration Day on and off over the past 24 hours. The music/production is great but poor Robert Plant just doesn't have the pipes to sing those (epic) songs anymore - and this concert is from five years ago!

I think a full-on reunion tour would be a bad idea. No need to tarnish the greatness of this band.
  11. this is something that needs to be SEEN not heard over headphones I think... Plant's emotion as he performs is heartfelt and moving (kind of like Bono from Slane which also has poor vocals if listened to on its own). Hearing it after without the film does point out his flaws more than the movie, but I think it's acceptable because he's old now and most of these songs can't be matched to their prime.
  12. I will then purchase the CD/DVD package as opposed to just the CD - I appreciate your comments.

Look at that: An earlier post of yours saved me $$$ with the U2.com/Sydney bundle but this last one of yours will end up COSTING me $$$.

    Go figure.
