1. So, how well is GOYB doing in the charts all over the world? Any numbers yet? Radio play? This thread can be used to gather some statistics on the new single. I heard Beautiful Day entered the charts too? U2 mania starts
  2. On http://www.otvoreni.hr (Open Radio).

This is the radio where Vertigo was first played, day before world premiere. : )) And it's probably the biggest radio station in Croatia.

They don't give information about how much they played every song, but they have this:

    26.01.2009. - 01.02.2009.
SINGLE OF THE WEEK: Get On Your Boots - U2
ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Jools Holland
ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Working On A Dream - Bruce Springsteen

Even in 2008, which was non-U2 year, U2 was quite popular:

    ARTISTS TOP 40:

    from 01.01. to 31.12.2008.
    01. MADONNA
    02. U2
    03. ROBBIE WILLIAMS
    04. COLDPLAY
    05. THE ROLLING STONES
    06. R.E.M.
    07. GEORGE MICHAEL
    08. DUFFY
    09. LENNY KRAVITZ
    10. TINA TURNER
  3. On Nova 91.9 here in Adelaide, U2 are at #33. Pink is above at #32, and Pez (who?) is #34, below.

    Kids nowadays...

Because Boots is not released yet digitally or physically in Australia, only radio stations have radio play stats at the moment.
  4. FROM @u2.com

" Mixed news where the charts are concerned. GOYB absolutely owned radio in its first week, but it didn't translate to very high sales. According to Billboard, GOYB debuted at:

#8 on Modern Rock chart, U2's highest debut since "Discotheque"
#1 on Triple A (Adult Album Alternative), the first time a song has debuted at #1
But U.S. sales were a different story. GOYB only debuted at #21 on the Soundscan sales chart, selling 57,267 copies (downloads).

Meanwhile, Canadian radio loves the tune. According to Radio & Records Canada, BOOTS debuted at #1 on the Rock Airplay, Rock Most Added, and Rock Most Increased Plays charts.
