1. Hello. On youtube i found a mix of New Years Day and it is called the Extended Version and is 6:49 in lenght. It has the same extra words at the start the USA mix has but has a different intro and includes the "stone cold night on a cold stone floor bit later in the song.
Type into Youtube: U2 - New Years Day (Extended Version)
and you'll find what i'm talking about. I was just wondering if anyone could give me more info on where this mix comes from.
    Cheers.
P.s Thanks for your posts (If it gets any)
  2. maybe just an extension or variation of the USA mix?

EDIT: that's what i think after listening, nothing really special about it, sounds like someone just toyed around with the USA mix
  3. I don't think it is. It has different drum parts in the song and has everything stuck in different places. It's almost like an Album Version and USA Remix Hybrid. Is it off a Fruitleg?

I don't know, it doesn't sound that different to me. the drums are simply the drums from the song, with the exception of that "bomb" effect or whatever you wanna call it
  5. Isn't it one of the remixes on the bonus disc of the remastered version of War?
  6. Yeah. I'm not really sure if it's official. There is also another video on Youtube of the same song but is labeled: "12" New Wave Mix? I have heard it before and thought why it wasn't on War Deluxe. Could it be off a really rare promo because i have never seen any promo with a mix like this on it/
  7. No. It is much longer but it has some bits of the USA Remix in it.
  8. I don't think it's official; it isn't named HERE
  9. Thanks Mark and Jake. I have been wondering for sooo long where this remix was from now i have got the answer. Must be on a fruitleg. There are hundreds.
