1. Anybody had the pleasure of meeting a member of U2. I had the pleasure of meeting Larry atthe top of One Tree Hill. This was the night before the Nov 24 concert in Auckland, Vertigo leg 5. My new wife and I were the only ones at the top of OTH approx 7.30 at night when our favourite drummer arrived with his 2 'minders'. I had my concert tickets on me however forgot ask him to sign due the excitement.

As a footnote to this. The trip was New Zealand was our honeymoon , for which we changed our plans so as to take in the rearranged date in Auckland. We could not get our hands on any tickets for love nor money. So as a last desparate measure I wrote to U2 in Dublin asking them if they could source some tickets for us. In the letter I mentioned that I had been to see U2 11 times previously and this was our honeymoon etc... all true. I got a postcard back from Dublin informing me that a pair of tickets would be waiting for us at the stadium.

What a superb gesture, for which I will be eternally grateful

  9. I was only joking guys, it's just surprising that Principle Management would actually do that, normally it takes like 2 years to get a response from them.
  10. Nice story

    Not had the chance myself.
