Well, you can't turn a flat song into a rock anthem, I guess.
The intro was promising, the performance so so, the sound terrible.

It's gonna take some fine tweaking to absolutely nail it for sure.

Bit dissapointed that Edge can't really rock out. He barely strms to play the main riff. Can't be much fun for him
  2. I wonder if they're gonna use the same pre-recorded drums on tour or if Sam will play along like on good old Lovetown.

They have to nail the drums or the song is dead

ME NEITHER I WAS LIKE 11 last time around. -_- dont laugh veterans! Lol Epicnesss i saw it on TV. it was all in my neck of the woods too. (shoulda sneeked in)
  5. Did anyone notice that Bono didn't sing ''let me in the sound'' during the bridge, he only sang ''sound''
  6. Man, that opener with the 'lalala' part blew me away!! First time I heard that beginning it reminded me of the sound of the Gorilaz. Wasnt expecting anything like that from U2 but it rocked!!!! Anyone agree with me on this? Total performance wasnt brilliant but for a first play it was good enough. Makes me even more excited than I was before

  7. yup. bridge and chorus were not top-top yesterday, but overall it was good.
  8. I thought it was good as a first performance. The biggest issue for me was hat of CBS fecking up the mix. TV are not so great at mixing bands. And it is usually the first band or two that pay the price of the TV folk figuring out what they are doing.

What do I mean? Notice the drop in volume in the "You don't know how..." part? (Thanks for fecking that up CBS.)

Indeed. The mix was awful. But that is how it will go for ever I suppose. Scratching of Edge, and Adam's bass were inaudible during the verses too.
  10. The mixed sucked big time for sure.
