1. Please don't discuss this, you can't request illegal songs (anymore). And there is only NLOTH2, no album version.
  2. I get this feeling that I've known the song for ages.
  3. I got the GOYB cd single and vinyl single from hmv today, they must have posted it out early. Good times.

  4. You probably know the unfinished Demo version. I think I still know the working title... it was quite weird if I remember correctly... probably something like "Spinning Heads at the ultra violet End of the World"... it was released somewhere a few years ago - probably accidentally.

There has to be a thin line between trademark- style and self- plagiarism somewhere. With the NLOTH2 riff they have come closer to this line than ever before. The verse vocal style keeps the song from crossing that line but it sounds strained, sped up or not. I tend to think the song could have benefitted from a rewriting, at least an original riff and a lower key. I'm curious for the album version, confident it will be more original.

It's a b-side, so there's no real reason to complain. It's neither highly original nor outstanding (with the exception of Bono singing out of his vocal range), but still a good song. We had worse b-sides before. Remember Viva Davidoff? But I'd have preferred an additional bonus song to the remix of an album track.

  5. drew or aussiemofo or vanquish or anyone for that matter, is the single out in Australia yet?

  6. Not that I'm aware of. You can't get NLOTH2 on iTunes yet and I haven't been to a shop.

  7. cool, i havent missed out on anything then, do u know when its released here?

  8. Get On Your Boots / No Line On The Horizon 2 was released yesterday. I got two copies.

  9. The Muses in Adelaide. $6.00 each, $5.50 if you're a member (which costs you $2 anyway, so no point).

On the far-back left wall, there's a little set-up with 25 or so copies left (or just ask), and at the counter, you'll also see the NLOTH promo poster - ask them how much they think the box-set will be - and when it's coming out. I was told the 27th but that doesn't seem right.

Yep, JB's are listing it as "In Stock" for 4.99.

EDIT: And JB's are listing NLOTH release date as 27 Feb too.

  11. And I'll bet they're sealed too.
