No worries mate, glad it was of some help. Not many people I know are U2 fans, so I'm in a similar position and part of the reason I'm here is to mix with fellow fans, and I'm pretty sure I'll be doing exactly the same once I get hold of the album too
  2. download it felllas

  3. lol, I actually can't, hence I'm in a strangely fortunate situation, i.e. I can't be tempted to begin with!

  4. ahh you are sorted then. The rest of you loth though have no excuse
  5. lol I have deep respect for you guys

  6. Aha, indeed

From your point of view, will it be worth the wait?

EDIT - ignore that, I just read your comment on the frontpage vote thing
  7. I downloaded and listened to it. But I feel strangely guilty, as if I should have waited for the experience of bringing it home, unwrapping, and listening to it fill my living room for the first time in wonder and awe. I ordered the box set, though, so I can watch Linear in wonder and awe...

  8. I'm guessing Uni network?

  9. you know me well enough and have witnessed by drop in faith over these past few months to know that it means something when I say it really is a great great album. If I keep my rose tinted glasses off it truly is a great album with only a few minor faults that I can recall. Putting my (modest and faint) rose tinted glasses on again and still having that 'omg new material' feeling inside me I do believe it has the potential to be the 3rd masterpiece. Those words surprise me even yet is me saying them. .

take from that what you will

  10. Si signore. I'd like to think I still wouldn't be tempted even if the network security wasn't in place, but that's a bridge I'm probably not gonna have to worry about crossing.

Wow. I hope you're still saying such things in a couple of years' time...obviously, it's only been on some people's hard-drives for a couple of days now so a lot of this could be down to general "OMG-ness" but that it's left such an early impression on people such as yourself bodes well in my opinion. Does sound like the 3 years and some that the band have spent making this album have paid off, but I'll obviously reserve my own judgement until I get hold of it.

Bring on the 2nd of March please lol.
