  3. from atu2.com

Darryl, one of our readers in Australia, emailed to let us know that his local JB HiFi store is already selling the NLOTH CD, two days before it's supposed to be sold. (Heck, if Universal Australia can sell it early, the whole country may as well follow.)

i know what im buying tomorrow
  4. It is all the versions (standard CD w/bonus track to the box-set).

And I'll post my thoughts on the Linear film as well as Winter in the next few days.

no line on the horizon-4 stars
    magnificent-5 stars
moment of surrender-5 stars ( it´s growing, at first listen is not at level of one and wowy but now i say it´s the masterpiece of the album and can easily be rank as equal of hose two)
    uncknow caller- 5 stars
    crazy-5 stars
get on yor boots-4 stars (if this wasn´t the single we would have other opinon of this one, it´s better than vertigo, and rocks)
stand up comedy-4 stars ( this one is poppy but i kind like it)
    fez-being born- 5 stars
    white as snow- 5 stars
    breathe-5 stars
    cedars of lebanon- 4 stars

This album can reach the top 3 among JT and AB.
But u2 have album songs and the leve songs are dreesed up another way.
i ear the songs on the album and live and sometimes they are really diferent.
Example: those monster abluns JT and AB
JT-album and live(ISHFWILF, BTBS, RTSS, EXIT)
AB-album and live ( i think the live versions don´t grow much in the tour, i say they are great songs but they don´t sound much different than soun in the album).

If the new songs appear in tour so beautiful as in the album NLOTH, to me will be their third masterpiece no doubt.
  6. In Foobar, the new stuff shows like this:

    Get On Your Boots (Single)

    - Get On Your Boots (46 listens)
    - No Line On The Horizon 2 (22 listens)

    No Line On The Horizon

    - No Line On The Horizon (10)
    - Magnificent (18)
    - Moment of Surrender (12)
    - Unknown Caller (7)
    - Crazy Tonight (8)
    - Get On Your Boots (9)
    - Stand Up Comedy (11)
    - Fez / Being Born (9)
    - White As Snow (9)
    - Breathe (5)
    - Cedars of Lebanon (8)

I've listened to the album twice and forgotten most of it. I don't wanna keep listening otherwise the album is just gonna sit and gather dust.
  7. i've listened to the album twenty times and these are my considerations:

NLOTH: Wow, for twenty seconds gives us the illusion of a courageous album, something between ultra violet and My bloody valentine, then it changes; however a good song (8)

Magnificent: joyful, brilliant, amusing; just a little too much commercial (8)

MOS: great start, great voice, black and gospel feeling, horrible chorus, too too tooooooo longgg..zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...goodnight! (6/7)

UK: after 2:30 minutes anonymous it becomes interesting with a surprising chorus (Eno?), but, after all, not a great song (6/7)

I'll go crazy: what a confusion! it goes nowhere; ridiulous when at minute 2:50 it becomes "Windows in the sky"! Listen, it's true, i swear!!! (4)

    GOYB: next please..... (5)

    SUC: mysterious ways pt.2? not! pt.222 (6)

    Fez: i love it!!! (9)

WAS: like other songs starts well than it looses itself (6/7)

Breathe: in the last 10 years we've heard this one 1000 times by U2 (however it's not so bad) (7)

COL : boring! something like "Luminous times" and "Walk to the water" (b sides !?!) but these two were better (5)

    i think this album is at the same level as the last two: ten feet under every other album;
for twenty years they have had an artistic integrity and continuity, changing directions 2 or 3 times: now they are a different band with not so much to say anymore
this is only my opinion, of course: i don't mean to offend anybody!!

    bye
