I think Exit/In God's Country are better, more interesting musically.

But maybe I should listen to those two again, to see if I'm missing something.

I rate them higher than the songs you mentioned..(Exit is equal though). They're not huge fan favourites but songs don't need to be huge fan favourites to let me like them. I adore One Tree Hill and Red Hill should have been played live one time. But you're not missing anything, it's just taste..

Oh ok, do people mainly like OTH because it was written for a roadie of theirs who died ?
And do they like RHMT mainly for his high range vocals (which are quite unique to the song)?

I can't speak for the rest, but I like One Tree Hill because of the melody, the lyrics and the overall mood of the song.

Red Hill has these high vocals, I agree. But that's not only why I like the song, it's also the overall mood here. Loooove, slowly stripped away.. Goosebumps here when I hear that.

We're heading to the harbor called off-topic by the way..lol
  4. I swear I said this already but I read back and didn't see it. This song is too 'old men making white-boy funk'. It makes me feel like they're old and I'm a little embarassed for them. (sorry if I'm repeating myself)

    You are. Stop it

  6. I love this song still although im getting over it. Not every song can be as intense as Moment of Surrender.
  7. I agree with earlier posts - This song would be a great hit as a release. I can hear it know...driving down the road with the windows down and this song cranking on the radio. Classic summer song for the masses.

    Reminds me of Oasis.

But in a good way. I can almost feel myself swagger when I listen to it. I'm a lover, for sure.

  9. But it also sounds overproduced... I'd rather see an experimental song like Being Born instead of this. Hopefully the live performance can change my thoughts.
  10. So. I don't know if this has been brought up or anything, but I've been reading Lord of the Rings over the past few weeks, and been reading a lot about the LOTR universe and such (i know, call me a nerd, but they're sick books)

Anyway, when listening to Stand Up Comedy the other day, I noticed that:

stand up and take a step, you and I have been asleep for hours, I gotta stand up, the wire is stretched, in between our two towers, stand up, in this dizzy world, where a lovesick eye can steal the view

Sounds a lot like a Lord of the Rings reference. First of all, the two towers, second of all, a lovesick eye can refer to the Eye of Sauron that is often talked about in the book. It's a stretch, but hey, anything is possible
