I think that my mom sees it as she's doing the right thing, because she was raised Christian and has a strong faith in it, which is fine, it takes a lot to believe And I think she doesn't want me to be thinking that there isn't a God, or that religion is stupid, and I can't really talk about it, because I don't want to offend or upset her. Well, it's fine to be religious, but it's not a must. I don't think that spreading the word of god (to your children) is 'the right thing to do'. It's just giving them the option to become Christians themselves someday and to give them more different views on the world.
You should just tell her you respect Christians, you have seen their view on the world, but you just have a different view. And as a mother she should respect that.
If I told my parents I were gay they should respect that too, right? Well, this is the same
