    No I told my mom, which kind of aggravates me, because she's being kind of a jerk about it lol.     Brave you told her I think she should respect that You're old and smart enough to choose your own religion. If you wanted to become a muslim then I think it's your parents' duty to still support you There's no use in 'making' you believe, it sounds like me they're forcing you Just a waste indeed

    No, but I do love that song
    I wouldn't call it brave, the look on her face made me feel like shit I think that my mom sees it as she's doing the right thing, because she was raised Christian and has a strong faith in it, which is fine, it takes a lot to believe And I think she doesn't want me to be thinking that there isn't a God, or that religion is stupid, and I can't really talk about it, because I don't want to offend or upset her. It's confusing, I wish it wouldn't be that way

    Well, it's fine to be religious, but it's not a must. I don't think that spreading the word of god (to your children) is 'the right thing to do'. It's just giving them the option to become Christians themselves someday and to give them more different views on the world.
    You should just tell her you respect Christians, you have seen their view on the world, but you just have a different view. And as a mother she should respect that.
    If I told my parents I were gay they should respect that too, right? Well, this is the same

    I suppose so, I just feel guilty for some reason. Maybe I'm secretly Jewish lol Thanks though. It's not like I haven't thought about it, or that I'm just saying it because I think it's cool, I just think it's not the truth, but I think she doesn't realize how much I thought about it.

    Guilty? I don't really know what's their to feel guilty about...its just your opinion, right?
    I know you probably have thought about it a lot I did exactly the same, also around your age. I lost faith. What I read in the bible suddenly sounded like a lot of crap tbh. But if people believe in it: I won't complain Keeps them busy while I'm doing really important stuff
    The only way to get this over is talk it out...you just need to show respect for their religion
    And don't forget to mention that the bible are just guidelines, no real story's. Jesus never existed. It's just to be interpreted by the people.

    I do think that the Bible has a lot of crap in it, but some of Jesus' teachings were pretty good moral philosophy, even though he was practically the first socialist. I respect people of faith, but I always get the feeling they respect me Which is partially why I hate talking it out
