No dude, that's not contradictory at all. That's what I told Bri when I asked her out back in fall 07. It was hard, because I was asking my best friend of 5 years out... Just be calm, and tell her that you value your friendship, and you would maybe like to take it to a further level. But, if she doesn't want to take it to the relationship level, you'll understand and will still be there for her as a friend.

Yes, I was planing on setting it up like this: value friendship, I'd like to get to know her better, if not I completely understand. Just a basic outline. However, Friday would be ideal, because after gym we always go to our lockers (our lockers are right next to each other) and that would be the ideal time for me to ask. Not too many people are in the halls, and once locker time is done we go to lunch. Idk, hopefully I can work it in tomorrow, I need to look at my schedule again.
