    Sydney sounds good so far.

I'll have a listen to your other suggestions.

But I don't like the 'love, love, love' part at the end of all live performances of Streets, are there any that don't?

Ahh, without the Love part? I dunno. I like that extra tidbit, so I've never really looked for one without it. Maybe at the beginning of the JT tour they didn't have it, because they might have still been getting used to playing it. I honestly don't know lol

Yeah, I was looking at some JT performances but they all had the love bit or a similar vocalisation. I like the repeated 'our love turns to rust/ blowing in the wind' verse on the album version (which he sings at the top of his voice).

I don't think they've ever performed that part, sadly It's a shame, because it sounds lovely

  4. Yes, I think the album version is so good, because of its difficult birth:

While recording the song as a band, however, they ran into difficulty. The song's frequent chord and time changes caused problems in playing the song correctly; the difficulty was so great that producer Brian Eno attempted to erase the track.

  5. Yeah, and then someone had to practically tackle Brian to stop him

  6. Lol, probably Larry.

I was watching that making of the JT documentary and they were talking about it.

  7. I really think the only person who could take Larry in a fight is Clint Eastwood Larry scares the shit out of me
Yeah, I watched that one, very interesting

He has a drummer's arms after all

So after a month with the album, which are your favourite songs? Do you have a ranking?

He is in fine shape lol
Unknown Caller is my favorite song by U2 now, seriously, it's soooo good I ranked it a few weeks ago:

3.Cedars of Lebanon-WOW, is all I can say
    4. No Line on the Horizon-what a great opener, I love Bono's voice on it
5.Moment of Surrender-I love this song, it's so beautiful, and it only took one take!
6.White as Snow- Took a while to catch on, but now I love it (French Horns are nice to )
7.FEZ-Being Born-U2 needs to do more songs like this
8.I'll Go Crazy if I have to type out this whole title-Nice catchy pop song, but I don't want a whole album of it
9.Stand Up Comedy- I love this! It's an awesome Zep-like song, and Led Zep are gods, so combining them with U2 is always good
10.Magnificent-the intro is the best part, but it's not a bad song in the least
11.Get On Your Boots-This is a great song, and I think it shows how wonderful this album is when I think it's the worst one on there lol

Ahh, interesting that you have Magnificent ranked so low, most people here have it as their top 3.

Even I originally thought it was rather overrated a bit too one note, but it grows on you (especially if you play it loud), now it's one of my favs.

I don't have a full ranking as yet, but my top two songs are Breathe and Unknown Caller followed by White as Snow and then Magnificent.

I never really got all the hype for Magnificent, it's a cool song, I like it, it'll probably rock live, but the intro is honestly the best part. After that, it's just okay. I flip-flop with Magnificent, sometimes I want to listen to it, others I'm just like "meh" I'm sure I'll grow to love it
Breathe is amazing, I loooooove that one White As Snow is beautiful

Yeah, Breathe is fantastic, I love the three part chorus and the arabic cello and piano and the great Edge solo.

It's like the sequel to Miracle Drug or BD or something, similar kind of theme to it.
It's probably the most HTDAAB sounding of all the songs on NLOTH.
